"Hybrid cognition modeling of virtual humans" is a research project for Artificial Life course directed by Prof. Demetri Terzopoulos. In this project, we model the events in two levels: the first level consisting of 'big events' that the agents consider in satisfying their long-term goals; the second level consisting of 'small events' that the agents come across incidentally in the environment, and that they will react to according to their emotional states. For the first level, we adopt searching as the planning strategy. For the second level, we adopt Bayesian network for probabilistic decision-making.

This project was conducted by a 3-people team. Wenjia Huang worked on the planning part, and also the animation system and building the virtual environment.
